19 Ott 08 BlueMaemo controllo a distanza del pc con nokia n810

Oggi tramite la mailing list sviluppatori di maemo vengo a conoscenza di un progetto interessante che è stato rilasciato oggi nel garage di maemo.org. Il progetto opensource si chiama BlueMaemo è il porting per piattaforma maemo del progetto presentato al Google Summer of Code project chiamato ReMoko.

BlueMaemo sfruttando il Bluetooth permette di radio controllare il proprio pc a distanza. Il progetto è in fase beta ma chi volesse testarlo è disponibile nel garadge di maemo.org.

11 Set 08 Cambiare MAC Address su Windows e Linux

Oggi per tutti gli User Windows ho un bel Howto da segnalare .. (per noi user linux può sembrare una cosa scontata abbiamo il fidato macchanger ! che lo fa in modo semplice) , seguendo questo semplice post è possibile cambiare l’indirizzo MAC della vostra scheda WIFI o Ethernet.

naturalmente per linux il software macchanger si può installare tramite il gestore pacchetti (apt-get o yum) o compilare dal binario:

27 Feb 08 Bluetooth PAN su maemo

Finalmente anche su Maemo è possibile attivare e utilizzare nativamente il Bluetooth PAN per interagire con gli smartphone windows mobile. Il Plugin da utilizzare è maemo-pan add-on (che è compatibile per ora solo con OS2008). E con pochi passi spiega Martin Grimme è possibile utilizzarlo :

• Go to the system preferences and add your phone in the phone settings. Do not enter the wizard for configuring the dialup settings. PAN does not use them.
• Start internet sharing on your phone. It depends on your phone how and where to do this. On Windows Mobile 5, open the Start menu and select “internet connection sharing” from there.
• Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your internet tablet. Now open the connection dialog and you will see that there is a new connection called “Bluetooth-PAN”. Select it and you will be connected to the internet via PAN.
• When you’re finished, just close the connection the usual way. Wasn’t this easy?
